Helping kids learn to be calm,confident, creative and resilient.

Chill skills for kid’s classes involve a range of fun activities to help kids learn how to relax and explore their imagination as they learn valuable life skills. This opens the possibility of greater achievement of their potential.

The kids are shown simple relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises, stretching, gentle movement and simple visualisations. They listen to the relaxing, happy meditation stories and their imagination and creativity is encouraged by fun drawing activities.

With the use of journals the children also learn about creating positive self talk and acknowledging different emotions.

Above all the classes are fun and enjoyable.

Fun Art Activities

The Children are encouraged to creatively express themselves by doing the fun art activities. They learn how to tell their story in a drawing.

The Children learn to relax, creatively express themselves, which helps validate their interpretation of the story, and have the positive aspects of the relaxation learning experience reinforced.

Positive Thinking

The children learn about positive thinking and enjoy fun group activities and discussion.

Kids enjoy the fun activities and colouring in their own journals as they learn. As shown in the picture. Student age: 11 years old.

Story Time

Children learn how to relax as they listen to a happy, relaxing story. The stories used in our classes are therapeutic and each story has a theme, such as friendship, happiness, kindness, sharing, self acceptance and being positive.

The children are encouraged to explore the themes, and learn principles and skills which can then be used in everyday life. This helps them to feel calm, confident, be happy and sleep better.

Creative Journaling

The children are given their own journals to keep a record of their drawings and activities.

Kids enjoy colouring in their own journals, as shown in the picture. Student age: 11 years old.

Learn to Relax

By attending the classes and following the exercises the children learn about the routines followed of how to ‘chill out’ for their own wellbeing. They learn skills that will carry them through life’s ups and downs. Learning to relax is a skill that needs to be learned, takes time and most importantly is an ongoing practise that is an essential part of our wellbeing.

Some of the skills kids learn are:

  • Simple visualisations
  • Breathing exercises
  • Gentle movement
  • Stretching
  • Meditation
  • Recognising emotions
  • Creating positive self talk

Individual Sessions

These sessions are personalised sessions for the child and/or the parent & child together

 The outcomes of these sessions are;

  • The parent & child both learn together a relaxation routine for the child, based on what works for the child
  • They receive a relaxation routine to do at home
